Dartmoor is rich in cultural activities and the arts, as well as historic buildings, gardens and, of course, the natural beauty of the moor.  Creative people are drawn to this area and so there’s always lots going on and much to see.
For foodies . . .

We are lucky to have a world class restaurant on our doorstep (you will never forget your meal at Gidleigh Park), a spectacular castle restaurant nearby (fabulous views from the terrace, bistro moderately priced, or cream tea in the beautiful lounge - but make sure you sit in the front lounge with the views), as well as many local pubs serving great food.

Ponies and sheep graze the moor and walkers will come across antiquities such as ancient field boundaries and stone circles.

A good map or the Dartmoor guided walks and activities programme is a great way to see all  this.
